Leaf Mould Compost

Leaf Mould Compost is a great and natural alternative to peat similar to what is found on the forest floor. Made from fallen leaves thru fungal action and a blend of organic matter, it makes for a great organic, all-purpose compost. Our Leaf Mould Compost can be used for both indoor and outdoor planting. Due to its nutrient content and microbial activity, our compost can be used for a variety of gardening from starting your seeds, to transplanting young seedlings, to ‘no dig’ gardening. Our Leaf Mould Compost retains water so well that you won’t have to water as often!

         Soil Improver Compost

Soil Improver Compost is a peat-free, all natural compost that can be used on all soil types as a top layer or mixed into current soil to improve soil structure, texture all while feeding your plants. Our Soil Improver Compost is made from green materials, primarily grass cuttings. It will revitalize tired and nutrient-deficient soils and break down heavy clay areas while introducing trace minerals. When mixed into your garden or allotment, you will notice improved aeration and water absorption, improving both root and overall plant growth.

  • Simply dig into your current garden soil for immediate benefit
  • May be used as a plant feed by loosely mixing around base of all plants
  • Greatly improves poor soil structure for plants, herbs, vegetables, flowers, bulbs, trees and shrubbery
  • Useful for indoor and outdoor gardening, beds, borders, planters and allotments
  • Not recommended for seed starting, but as a dig- in/mix in component to increase plant growth and boost nutrients in your garden

‘The Oxford Gardener’ spread our Soil Improver Compost as a ‘top dressing’ and seed with almost immediate results….
