About us…
With roots in both the USA and United Kingdom, Happy Earth Soil is an innovative composting company that takes pride in making a nutrient-rich compost. Our compost uses range from starting seeds, transplanting, potting on, propogating, raised beds and dig in for allotments or in your garden and more.
We spearheaded this journey to make a sustainable compost over 18 years ago. We could not find a compost that met all of our gardening needs in one product – a natural compost that could start seeds, pot on, and use in raised beds. Rather, several products were used and tested to include manures, fertilizers, bone meal, coir and perlite. Although these products are helpful and some are natural, we really longed for a simple product that was cost effective, wholesome and could do all of the above in one. This lead to the creation of Happy Earth Soil’s two amazing composts.
With training and research, we have found that simpler is better. Our secret to making a viable and long-lasting compost comes from experimentation. We have been fortunate enough to have space for our experimenting which we refer to as a trial garden. This includes but not limited to starting dahlia seeds, geranium seeds, pumpkins, squash such as trombocino, brocolli, herbs, melon…
Adrian and his team pride themselves in being environmentally sound and in tune with the Earth’s condition and growing. What is considered a green waste, we’ve been able to recyle into premium quality composts that keeps giving.

Key facts about our compost…
- A LIVING SOIL –
Our compost is a ‘living soil’ meaning that it is full of microscopic living organisms in the form of fungi and protozoa, that help decompose the living matter into a rich, organic compost. We believe that if you take care of your soil, it will in turn take care of you and the future of our precious Earth.
- REDUCED GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS –
We mirror nature in our composting processes – we also collect and use rainwater for our composting process and gather our materials from local, reliable sources to recycle what is considered to be a waste product. This contributes to cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions with our reduced use of fossil fuels.
- ECONOMIC COMPOSTING SOLUTION –
We provide a streamlined solution to your growing needs. Instead of dealing with the stress of choosing a specific compost for a specific job, we’ve found two composts that will fulfill a variety of your growing needs. Grow vegetables, fruit, herbs, bulbs, trees, shrubs, succulents, and many more
- LABORATORY TESTED
All of our composts are laboratory tested for nutrient content as well as to ensure that there aren’t any pyralids or fertilizers in our composts to ensure their organic and natural content
